Choeradodis rhombicollis, common name Peruvian Shield Mantis [1], is a species of praying mantis native to South America and found in Belize, Costa Rica, Ecuador, French Guyana, Guatemala, Colombia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, and Surinam. [2][3] It was formerly categorized as Choeradodis columbica (Beier 1931), as Choeradodis peruviana (Serville 1839), and as Mantis rhombicollis (Latreille 1833). [4]
